On February 19, 2007, SSG Shilo Harris was patrolling an infamous southern Iraqi roadway when his Humvee was struck by an IED. Moments later, three members of his crew were dead and Shilo had sustained severe injuries that would alter the course of his life. For forty-eight days he lay trapped in a medically induced coma as his wife, unable to ease his suffering, had to come to grips with a man utterly changed.

Grammy and Golden Globe Nominated Frank Stallone on Patriotism


Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist Frank Stallone  has garnered four Platinum Albums, ten Gold Albums and five Gold Singles and has acted in over 60 films and TV shows Frank has written and published over 200 songs and, with a single in the hit film The Expendables 2 (Don’t Want to Fight With Me) and three original songs, written and performed by him in thefilm Reach Me (Dir. John Herzfeld, 2014), Frank has written and recorded compositions for twelve films. The list includes Rocky I, II and III, Rambo II, Paradise Alley and Over the Top. But, it was Frank's nine songs that he wrote and recorded for the Saturday Night Fever Sequel Staying Alive that earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Sound Track and a Grammy nomination for Best Original Song with his single, Far From Over.

Dr. Frank Ochberg was among the Scientists who Came to Define PTSD

Dr. Frank Ochberg was among the scientists who came to define PTSD during its earlier years. He's a clinical professor of psychiatry at Michigan State University and one of the nation's leading authorities on the psychological effects of trauma.
Since it first emerged as a diagnosis in the wake of the Vietnam War, PTSD has entered the public consciousness. But Dr. Ochberg also says PTSD can be misunderstood and misinterpreted in the public context - and it even may be time for a name change.
So what is and isn't PTSD? And where does the science, the public conversation and the public policy around PTSD need to go next?

Karri Turner from the Midway to the Middle East


Karri Turner  is best known for playing Lieutenant Harriet Sims in the television series JAG. Her passion for serving our Military has put her on a lifes course to entertain the troops from The Midway to the Middle East.c

Karri has completed six USO tours to entertain the troops stationed in Baghdad, Balad, Ramadi, Tikrit, Kuwait, Bagram, Kandahar, Uzbekistan and South Korea.


Some of the other highlights of Karri's career include visiting the wounded at Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington, D.C., Ft. Hood, Ft. Irwin and she was recently very honored to meet several of the Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. Supporting our troops is what Karri Turner is most passionate about.
